Who are we

This privacy policy applies to all personal information processing activities carried out by Port Tech Limited (trading as PORT and PORT.im).

Information we process

We collect and process various categories of personal information at the start of and for the duration of your relationship with us. We will limit the collection and processing of information to information necessary to achieve one or more legitimate purposes as identified in this notice. Personal information may include:

How we use information

PORT uses information in furtherance of our legitimate interests in operating our Services, Websites and business. More specifically:

  • to provide, update, maintain and protect our Services, Websites and business;

  • to offer you insurance cover;
  • for billing, account management and other administrative matters;
  • to investigate and help prevent security issues and abuse;

If information is aggregated or de-identified so it is no longer reasonably associated with an identified or identifiable natural person, PORT may use it for any business purpose. To the extent Information is associated with an identified or identifiable natural person and is protected as personal data under applicable data protection law.

How long we keep your information

While we do not hold personal data any longer than we need to, the duration will depend on your relationship with us.

Sharing information

We will not share your information with anyone outside PORT except:

  • where we have your permission;
  • where required for your product or service;
  • where we are required by law and by law enforcement agencies, judicial bodies, government entities, tax authorities or regulatory bodies around the world;
  • with third parties providing services to us, such as cloud-based email sending services, payment providers, customer service providers;
  • with your introducing business partner to track conversion and sales;
  • with debt collection agencies;
  • where required for a proposed sale, reorganisation, transfer, financial arrangement, asset disposal or other transaction relating to our business and/or assets held by our business;

Transferring information outside of the EU

We may transfer personal data to a country outside of the European Economic Area (EEA), for example if a third party we share data with has servers located outside of the EEA. If this is the case we will ensure that the transfer is relying on a valid lawful basis, typically this will be the EU/US Privacy Shield when transferring to the United States.
